BLOC Louisville
BLOC Ministries was started in 1998 by Dwight and Stephanie Young who stepped out on faith with five young children to start a ministry in an underserved urban community in Cincinnati. Since then, BLOC Cincinnati has more than 20 programs, around 40 staff and between 100-150 volunteers weekly. Programs range from Equine therapy to ministries for sex trafficked women, afterschool programs, performance sports center, teaching kitchens, a food pantry all primarily located in the Price Hill Community.
It has been placed on our hearts to expand beyond this area and are working on a location outside of Cincinnati. This includes the west end of Louisville, Kentucky. This location will utilize programs already successfully developed by BLOC Cincinnati. These include an afterschool program, teaching kitchen, sports performance gym and a day shelter for trafficked women.
Our first building, pictured here, needs substantial renovations but is a great building in an awesome location. We need many things to get this building and these programs working for the neighborhood.
We look forward to working and partnering with you in whatever way God leads you. These include prayer (always coveted), volunteering, gifts in kind, or financial support.
You can give online here, or if you prefer to mail a check, please do so by mailing to: BLOC Ministries, 911 W. 8th Street, Cincinnati, OH 45203. Make checks payable to BLOC Ministries – Louisville LLC.
